Weight Watchers Points For Bennigans

Weight Watchers has been around for many years now and has proved to be an incredibly successful diet program which concentrates on balancing exercise, low fat nutrition and guidance.

Items of food are given a points score and Weight Watchers members then use a points calculator and hundreds of great recipes which are provided by the program.

Members are also encouraged to attend counseling sessions locally to get advice and ideas and to assist with the lifestyle changes which go along with not just this but any dieting plan. Members are also provided with online support together with online points calculators and menus.

As well, Weight Watchers produce their own line of meals that you can purchase at many of the larger grocery chains.

A points score is given to various foods according to the portion size, the calories that portion contains, the amount of fiber and the amount of fat contained in each serving. As a rule, high fat foods have a high points score and high fiber foods have a low points score. The daily allowance for dieters then depends on things like body weight and target weight.

The formula for calculating a points value is as follows:

weight watchers formula

Where: p = Points | c = Calories | f = Fat Grams | r = Dietary fiber Grams

(Please note: when considering the term (min{r, 4}) no more than 4 grams of fiber are used in the calculation. For instance, if the actual figure is lower than 4 this figure is used, however, where the figure is over 4 then 4 is used.
