Weight Watchers has been with us for many years now and has proved to be a hugely successful commercial diet program that focuses on balancing low fat nutrition, exercise and counseling.

Food items are given a points score and members then make use of a points calculator and hundreds of easy to follow recipes that are provided by the program.

A points score is allocated to foods based upon the size of the portion, the calories that portion contains, the quantity of fiber and the amount of fat in each serving. (Please note: when considering the term (min{r, 4}) a maximum of 4 grams of fiber are used in the calculation. In other words, if the actual figure is lower than 4 then this figure is used, but, where the figure is more than 4 then 4 is used.
