Weight Watchers Make It in Minutes: Easy Recipes in 15, 20, and 30 Minutes
ground sirloin weight watchers points. Weight Watchers has been around for many years now and is an extremely successful commercial diet program which focuses on a balance of low fat nutrition, exercise and counseling.
|
Food items are given a points value and members use recipes and a points "calculator" provided by the program.
Members are further encouraged to drop in on counseling sessions in their area for advice and ideas and to assist with the changes in lifestyle that are part of any dieting program. Support is also provided online, along with online calculators, recipes and menus.
Additionally, Weight Watchers make their own line of meals which may be purchased in many larger grocery stores.
The points value assigned to foods is based upon the quantity of fat, the size of the portion, the amount of fiber and the number of calories in each serving. In the main, high fat means a high points value and high fiber means a low points value. The daily allowance for dieters then depends upon things like body weight and the desired weight loss.
The points formula is:

Where: p = Points | c = Calories | f = Fat Grams | r = Dietary fiber Grams
(Note: in the term (minr, 4) a maximum of 4 grams of fiber is used in the calculation. This means that, if the actual figure is less than 4 this is used, but, when the figure is greater than 4 then 4 is used.
Here are a few examples of the points given to specific foods:
