Weight Watchers New 365 Day Menu Cookbook:
Complete Meals for Every Day of the Year

Weight Watchers has been around for a long time and has proved itself to be a hugely successful commercial diet program which concentrates on a balance of low fat nutrition, exercise and counseling.

Different foods are given a points score and Weight Watchers members make use of a points calculator and hundreds of great recipes that are provided by the program.

Participants also attend counseling session in their home area to get advice and ideas and to help with the changes in lifestyle which go along with any dieting program. Members are also provided with online support as well as online points calculators and menus.

Additionally, Weight Watchers produce their own line of meals which you can purchase at many of the larger grocery chains.

A points score is allotted to various foods according to the size of the portion, the number of calories, the amount of fiber and the amount of fat in every serving. Generally speaking, foods which are high in fat will have a high points score and high fiber foods will have a low points score. The daily allowance for dieters is then dependent upon such things as his or her body weight and how much weight he or she wants to lose.

The points formula is as follows:

Where: p = Points | c = Calories | f = Fat Grams | r = Dietary fiber Grams

(Note: in the term (min{r, 4}) no more than 4 grams of fiber are used in the calculation. For instance, if the actual figure is lower than 4 then this figure is used, however, where the figure is greater than 4 then 4 is used.
