cracker barrel tortilla soup weight watchers points. Weight Watchers has been part of our lives for a very long time now and is an incredibly successful diet program that focuses on a balance of counseling, low fat nutrition and exercise.
|
Food items are allotted a points value and members use recipes and a points "calculator" provided by the program.
Members are also encouraged to attend counseling sessions held locally for advice and ideas and to assist with the changes in lifestyle which are inevitably associated with any diet program. Support is also provided online, along with online calculators, menus and recipes.
Furthermore, Weight Watchers create their own line of meals that may be bought through various larger grocery stores.
A points value is assigned to foods based upon the quantity of fat, the size of the portion, the number of calories and the amount of fiber in each serving. Generall speaking, high fat equals high points and high fiber equals low points. The daily allowance for dieters then depends upon such things as body weight and the desired weight loss.
The points formula looks like this:

Where: p = Points | c = Calories | f = Fat Grams | r = Dietary fiber Grams
(Note: in the term (minr, 4) a maximum of 4 grams of fiber is used in the calculation. This means that, if the actual figure is less than 4 this figure is used, however, when the figure is larger than 4 then 4 is used.
Here are several examples of the points allotted to particular foods:
